Proud to have belonged
Senior Software Engineer
Oyster HR offers innovative solutions that enable companies to recruit and manage a global workforce with ease. I have been part of different teams within the company according to the needs of the moment. I have been part of and led initiatives to implement new features, improve existing ones, maintain a modern and scalable code base, and automate processes that were previously carried out manually.
The technologies used include React, GraphQL and Typescript, as well as the creation of unit tests, integration tests and end to end tests. The back end, which I worked closely with and was able to program in some cases, is written in Ruby. The cooperation with the product team was also continuous in order to adapt the development efforts to the company's needs.
Senior Front End Engineer
YouGov is the international leader in market research. In fact, the team I joined was made up of 6 different nationalities, which resulted in a very enriching experience. The project consisted on the implementation of new functionalities and the maintenance of existing ones for Brandindex, a branch which offers a perspective on different parameters of the brand reputation to its clients. These include companies as relevant as Google or Twitter, as well as hedge funds, etc.
The front-end part was developed with React always in close contact with the UI, back-end and devops teammates. The treatment of the data and the complex structures that was required is noteworthy, presenting a challenge when it came to keeping the types in TypeScript consistent and displaying them in graphics through Plotly.
Tech Lead Front End
MASMOVIL group is one of Spain’s largest network operators and comprises brands such as Pepephone, in which project I took part. Ahead of a team of over 6 developers, working on both the web and apps for iOS and Android. I’m proud to say I helped improve deliver solutions on time, reliably and with better performance. The eShop was developed with React, while the eCare was based on React Native. Jenkins and Circle were the tools employed to drive CI operations, in close contact with the DevOps team.
A great experience which gave me the opportunity to blend coding and human skills in trying to make evey day life better for a group of great professionals and teammates.
Front End Developer
Inetum is a French software consultancy company which hired me to take part in Bankia’s web migration from AngulaJS to React. This was a big challenge, as it was not a complete migration, but a partial one, in which certain sections developed from anew with React had to be embedded in the AngularJS ecosystem. Web components came as the answer, though it was a troublesome road with different incompatibilities between both frameworks.
I, apart from developing, was the head of the 7 member team in HTML and style related matters, giving them daily guidelines and support and being in charge of the final visual output. I also developed some APIs with Node. The workflow was carried out using Agile methodology and the integration, with Git and BitBucket Pipelines.
Front End & UX Designer
Nateevo is a consultancy company in the software development field. As a front-end I took part in the creation of webs for very varied companies: BBVA, Telefónica, Mapfre, etc.
The technologies used changed from project to project, but they included HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, WordPress, SASS, AMP, React, Gulp, Pug, Twig...
I spent 6 months in Bankinter headquarters developing components with both Vanilla JavaScript and Angular 6. Here the workflow was channelled with the Scrum methodology guidelines.

Let's get closer
Nice to meet you. As you know by now, I'm Erik, a passionate developer who mainly has developed websites, mobile apps and API projects using the above mentioned technologies. I'm someone who loves learning new stacks and applying existing knowledges in innovative ways.
I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. Although I studied Advertising and PR in college, I felt in love with coding at 18, while working as a journalist for a small company, El Deporte Desde Madrid. The web needed many improvements, so I started diving into HTML, CSS, SEO, analytics... That led me to taking a Master's Degree in Web Development and Graphic Design after graduating and I have been devoted to digital solutions for businesses ever since.
Moreover my professional carrer, I have enjoyed sports since a very early age. I have played basketball since I was seven, among other activities, and I currently practice sanda, which are chinese mixed martial arts. I also love reading and writing, to the extent I have published two poem books and performed in several stages. Apart from that, I love eating, travelling...
You may wonder what that has to do with your business. Well, I consider that the discipline, team work, passion for detail and other virtues these interests have taught me, are as important as any technical skill.
